| BRAD M. CARLSON is an Assistant Professor of Scenic Design at the University of Missouri where he teaches Computer Graphics for Theatre Design, Scenic Design, and Sound Design. Brad has a BA in theatre Design / Technology from the University of Northern Iowa and an MFA in Scenic Design from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Brad’s designs have received recognition at conferences including the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. His design for Lobster Alice received the first place award at the region V festival and was recognized at the national festival with the Scenic Design Fellowship Award. He was recognized at the KCACTF region III festival with two awards, one for his scenic design for The Crucible and another for his lighting design for Shakespeare’s R&J. Brad has also participated in the Kennedy Center’s Summer Design Intensive where he had the opportunity to work closely with designer Ming Cho Lee. His professional work has taken him to numerous professional theatres throughout the Midwest and east coast including the world renowned Glimmerglass Opera in central New York. | ||
